Learning to listen to each other and move forward as a group, giving space for individual stories and creating something living and expansive in the alchemy place where those individual stories meet up.

2026 - 2027 Season
The Croning (the elders and the young ones 2027)
An unearthing. An exploration. A celebration. Led by Shavon Norris, THE CRONING (the elders and the young ones 2027) brings Black women elders and a chorus of young people to the stage this February to mine what it means to age while Black, and to be fully seen.
Kintsugi
KINTSUGI fuses the stories of a connected but diverse Japanese American community into a whole, with golden connective bonds that highlight (rather than hide) lines of break and repair. Performed by an ensemble of community members, this original work weaves stories, movement, and music to explore the ways we inherit, preserve, and choose our identities. Curated by Rob Buscher, directed by Makoto Hirano, with original music by Sumi Tonooka, and created with community facilitators Amy Danford (MA, ATR-BC) and Cliff Akiyama (MA, MPH, FAAFS).
